Occasionally, Republic of Anodyne officials, VIP's and diplomats
need to travel to various cities within the United States as well as
other countries. When this happens, it is of great assistance to
have knowledgeable, local people to assist in moving our officials
through the city in a quick and safe manner. The Republic of Anodyne
depends on a small volunteer force of serious minded, and physically
fit people with good judgment who know their local areas well enough
to serve as local guides and who are trained in the basics of
Executive Protection.
These select groups of specialists perform the same functions as the
United States Secret Service, but in a fashion similar to a
volunteer fire department, or an auxiliary police force. There is no
pay and you must purchase your own supplies and tools. The tasks you
may be called on to perform include scouting and recommending
appropriate local locations for meetings, lodging, dining, and
entertainment for visiting officials. Mapping out the best routing
between meeting sites. Meeting the officials at the airport and
escorting them to meetings and protecting them from interference and
harm. You may be called upon to work alone or as a team member with
other DSA Special Agents to carryout these and other tasks. This
position does not require the use of deadly weapons or a concealed
weapon carry permit, although a locally valid permit is a
benefit.
The Director of the
